Salary:

£63,000 - £94,400 (subject to experience) + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

The role

We are looking for a Procurement and Commercial Manager to support SSE Renewables Offshore Asset Management team to keep our fleet of offshore WTG's and associated infrastructure to achieve maximum availability. Candidates should have pre and post contract experience of high value contracts, preferably within Renewables or a similar industry.

As Procurement & Commercial Manager in the Renewables Business, you will manage procurement and post contract commercial requirements relevant to the Offshore Asset Management team, and support development of offshore asset management delivery strategies for our projects in development and construction to maximize value.

You will

1. Work closely with Asset Management colleagues to ensure delivery of production and delivery targets, meeting and exceeding warranted availability for each asset. Develop contract strategies aligned with the Offshore Asset Management Business to support asset performance across all project stages.
2. Lead an established Procurement & Commercial team to manage demand plans, budgets, procurement within challenging timescales, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, joint ventures, lenders, and senior management.
3. Oversee supply chain delivery valued at approximately £150m per annum across all assets.
4. Engage with Category Managers and the Head of Procurement & Commercial to ensure a coordinated and effective service.
5. Ensure compliance with safety policies and promote safe working practices internally and externally.
6. Support the development of relationships with main suppliers and contractors, ensuring project(s)/contract(s) are delivered within budget and scope.

You have

• Understanding of offshore wind markets, asset management support contracts, regions, commodities, and services, with experience supporting project business case development and procurement strategies.
• Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent, preferably recognized by a professional body.
• Experience leading a team, managing procurement, contracts, and suppliers/sub-contractors, including vetting and development.
• Understanding of supply chain concepts and improvement strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, leadership, dispute resolution, and problem-solving skills.
