Job summary

Drnewitt in Kent near Tonbridge is hiring a Buying Administrator / Procurement Assistant to support the procurement team and grow into fresh produce sourcing. You will create accurate Purchase Orders, review supplier paperwork, monitor ETAs with freight forwarders, and update cost estimates to assist grower cash flow.

This permanent role requires good MS Office (Excel) skills, precise data entry, and clear written and spoken English; SAP experience is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
• High attention to detail with excellent data entry skills.
• Clear written/spoken English with the confidence to communicate across teams and challenge where necessary.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous but not essential.
• An FMCG, food manufacturing, or fresh produce background is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate Purchase Orders and maintain consignment details within internal systems.
• Collate and review supplier paperwork, amending inbound delivery logs as needed.
• Track Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs) and communicate updates with freight forwarders and internal teams.
• Update estimated costs and set up system advances to support grower cash flow management.
