Job summary

Confidential in Kent is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to help ensure fresh produce is delivered to UK retailers. You will work with Procurement and Commercial colleagues to plan, forecast, and coordinate stock, packing, and distribution seven days a week.

The role is full-time with weekends regularly required; time off in lieu is provided. You will use stock systems and ERP tools to maintain accuracy and profitability, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock planning and supply chain roles within fresh produce is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent IT and numeracy skills (Excel).
• Ability to work positively with colleagues at all levels.
• Proven experience using stock management or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage storage, inventory, packing and distribution across 7 days a week.
• Administer inventory ordering and procurement to support profitability.
• Support forecast accuracy and keep records of inventory levels.
• Coordinate sourcing strategy and liaise with sales and supply chain teams.
• Collaborate with Warehouse to manage stock arrivals and storage.

We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product category within the industry, supplying UK Retailers with the best fresh produce from Worldwide Growers. Due to continued success, we are delighted to offer the opportunity of Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team.

Working as part of a dedicated team to ensure the smooth supply of Fresh Produce across 7 days a week, the position of Supply Chain Coordinator will report to the Supply Chain Manager will work closely with Procurement and Commercial colleagues becoming fundamental in the success of fresh produce product supply to key retail customers.

Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week with 2 days off. Weekend working will be required on a regular basis. Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) is provided for weekend and bank holiday working, where required

• Manage product storage, inventory, packing & distribution.
• Responsible for administering inventory ordering, procurement and supporting profitability.
• Helping maintain customer forecasts ensuring forecast accuracy whilst keeping an accurate record of the inventory.
• Communicate and maintain the coordinated sourcing mission and strategy.
• Work closely with the sales / supply chain teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied and pre-planned accounting for any external factors such as vessel changes.
• Work closely with the Warehouse team to manage stock arrivals and the safe storage of stock

We require;

• Previous experience within a similar key support role, with exposure to stock Management systems or ERP, examples Prophet
• Stock Planning and Supply Chain experience within Fresh Produce is ideal
• Attention to detail, with excellent IT and numeracy skills; Microsoft, Excel
• Confident ability to work with all colleagues at all levels positively
