Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing across fresh produce categories in Kent. You will build strong relationships with UK and international growers, balance quality, price and supply, and drive commercial outcomes.

In this hands-on role you will own procurement decisions, negotiate volumes and prices, and work closely with commercial, technical and planning teams to ensure product availability and profitability across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement, Buying or Sourcing within fresh produce, food or FMCG.
• Experience managing supplier and grower relationships.
• Strong commercial understanding of costs, margins and buying decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with existing growers and suppliers while developing new ones.
• Source fresh produce from right suppliers and markets, balancing quality, availability and cost.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes and supply agreements for best commercial outcomes.
• Monitor market conditions, seasonal changes and crop availability to inform buying decisions.
• Plan seasonal programmes to ensure supply meets customer demand.
• Collaborate with commercial, technical and planning teams to support the wider business.
