Job summary

English Heritage is seeking an experienced Procurement Administrator to join our in-house Strategic Procurement team in Swindon. You will support administrative functions for Procurement and Fleet, working a hybrid pattern (office and home) 36 hours per week on a permanent basis.

You will help maintain the supplier list, perform market research, due diligence, and provide essential back-up support for the Fleet Co-ordinator while delivering high-quality admin and data management across internal

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a an administrative, business support, procurement support, contract support or similar role.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records, systems and data, with strong attention to detail and a high standard of written communication.
  • Experience of managing shared mailboxes, responding to enquiries and providing professional support to internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of supporting purchasing, supplier, contract or compliance-related processes.
  • Experience of organising and prioritising a varied workload, meeting deadlines and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Confident user of Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Administrator to join our busy team. You'll be working on a permanent, full time basis, working 36 hours per week.

The role is full time and permanent although we would consider a flexible working

arrangement with the right candidate. The role can be office based at any of our regional offices or worked in a hybrid way between home and an office. Regular meeting attendance at our Swindon office is essential to the role, as well as visits to other offices and sites as required.

This is a great opportunity for a Procurement Administrator, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager as part of the Corporate Services Directorate, to join our in-house Strategic Procurement function within English Heritage and be responsible for administration and support to the Procurement and Fleet Functions.

As Procurement Administrator, you will support the administrative functions of Procurement and Fleet in these ways
  • Evolving and maintaining the English Heritage supplier list
  • Market research, compliance and due diligence
  • Providing full back up support for the Fleet Co-ordinator
  • Providing full administration support for the team.
To be considered as a Procurement Administrator, you'll need
