Job summary

Dovecote Park in Pontefract is seeking a Processing Operative to join our family business. The role involves stacking meat products, keeping items separate, and transferring meat while maintaining temperature and food safety procedures.

This permanent position offers a £13.01 per hour pay rate, on-site parking, an on-site gym, a subsidised canteen and other staff benefits. Typical shift is Monday to Friday 05:45–14:45 with opportunities to grow within a fast-paced meat processing operation.

• Own transport preferred but not essential.
• Flexible to work solo or in a team.
• Willing to work in a physically challenging environment.
• Enjoy working to targets.

Responsibilities

• Stack down meat products onto own pallets.
• Ensure that each product is kept separate.
• Transfer meat products while maintaining temperature and following food safety procedures.
• Stock meat products in the correct location allocated for each product.
• Work to a high standard to minimise waste and downtime to maximise yields.
• Operation of machinery.

Role:

• Stack down meat products onto own pallets.
• Ensure that each product is kept separate.
• Transfer meat products in a way that maintains the temperature of the product within food safety and company limits. Checking that the route to storage is clear and safe, following company procedures to deal with any problems.
• Stock meat products in the correct location allocated for each product.
• Work to a high standard to efficiently complete all duties to minimise waste and downtime to maximise yields
