Job summary

Dovecote Park in Yorkshire is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join our production team on a permanent basis. The role covers maintaining clean production areas, waste control, PPE readiness and ensuring the site complies with hygiene standards during Saturday and Sunday shifts.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the production line while following strict safety and cleanliness protocols. The position offers onsite parking and staff facilities at Stapleton near Pontefract.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production areas for production, including waste bins and boot wash, with PPE available.
• Follow cleaning sequence and prep area free of meat products.
• Carry out cleaning using required solutions, checking machinery safety before starting.
• Keep areas dry and prevent contamination of meat products during cleaning.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities for audits.
• Store waste according to company procedures.

Shift Available:: Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 16:00pm

Role:

• Ensure that all areas are prepared for production including waste bins, boot wash and that clean PPE is available for all operatives.
• Following company standards for the sequence of cleaning; prepare the area to be cleaned, ensuring that the area is clear of any meat products.
• Carry out cleaning operations using solutions, materials and equipment as required, checking that all machinery and equipment in the area is in a safe state before starting the cleaning
• Ensure that surfaces and equipment is left dry and that meat products cannot get contaminated or tainted by cleaning materials or cleaning activity.
• Keep accurate records of all cleaning activities required for internal and external audits.
• Separate, remove and store waste according to company procedures.
