Job summary

Dovecote Park in Pontefract is seeking a Despatch Operative to join our Yorkshire team. The role covers stock maintenance, order picking, loading and despatch of goods in a fast-paced environment, with a rotating two-week shift.

You will operate equipment, weigh and scan items, wrap pallets, and ensure accuracy in the internal system. A commitment to safety and the ability to work on your own or with others are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry is advantageous but not essential; full training will be given.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have own transport.
• Flexible in your ability to work on your own or within a team.
• Enjoy working to targets.
• Willing to work in a physically challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and rotate stock.
• Working in a chilled environment.
• Operate machinery, scanning and weighing trays, whilst stacking product onto pallets.
• Pick and scan orders.
• Check through orders through internal database.
• Securely wrap pallets prior to despatch.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Adhering to SOP’s.
• Manual handling and the use of manual handling equipment.

Rate:£13.31 to £14.08 per hour

Location:Pontefract, WF8 3DD
Shift Available:06:00 to 18:00pm (2-week rotating shift pattern (WK1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday = 44 hours, WK2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday = 33 hours)
