Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our waste team at Horley STW, RH6 8HE.

As the successful candidate, your role will be to perform a range of front-line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery. This may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support plant operation.

What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician (Waste)
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment, complying with standards to improve resilience.
  • Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to maintain operational and safety standards.
  • Responding to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failures.
  • Maintaining site cleanliness and undertaking safety and security checks.
  • Working safely and adhering to all health and safety procedures.

Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities for additional pay.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to undergo safety training.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
