Job summary

Wienerberger Ltd. is seeking a Process Technician for our Broomfleet site near Gilberdyke. You will join a team focused on safety, continuous improvement, and rigorous process management to sustain quality across the site.

Responsibilities include data analysis, PLC/SCADA fault diagnosis, instrumentation maintenance, and supporting production targets while promoting the PIP+ culture of improvement. The role offers steady hours and a clear path for development within a leading building materials

Qualifications

• Experienced process technician in a factory/production environment.
• Keen problem-solver with ability to coach others.
• Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Drivers: communication, attention to detail, safety.
• Experience with lean manufacturing.
• Exposure to health and safety.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Eng OR time-served apprenticeship.
• Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
• Strong fault-finding and instrumentation maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver, control and instrumentation projects from design to commissioning.
• Maintenance incl. fault finding, calibration, testing and programming on telemetry and instrumentation.
• Diagnose PLC faults on Siemens/Schneider systems.
• Backup and modify HMI & SCADA systems.
• Plan maintenance and calibrate instrumentation.
• Prepare technical drawings and project documentation.
• Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of plant and processes for informed decisions.
• Support production targets and waste reduction.
