We currently have a vacancy for a Process Safety Manager to provide HSE advice and support to colleagues and the business. Support the safe operation of business activities, facilities, and resources through the promotion of an active safety culture.
Location: Aberdeen / Inverness / Scotland.
The Role
- Lead the identification, assessment, and management of HSE risks through the application of the Hazards and Effects Management Process (HEMP), including QRA, HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and Risk Assessments.
- Provide advice on diverse process safety issues related to all aspects of company operations, involving defining and researching issues and contributing to their solutions.
- Contribute to defining process safety performance targets and relevant Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs); monitor and analyze related performances.
- Supervise Process Safety Risk Management activities.
- Support the development and implementation of Operational HSE Cases.
- Contribute to the development of Operations Major Accident Hazard (MAH) Bowtie diagrams and analysis.
- Review work completed by the Competent Authority concerning Performance Standards of Safety Critical Elements.
- Endorse risk reduction and mitigation measures for implementation.
- Promote the ALARP principle as applied to risk reduction.
- Ensure improvement projects meet appropriate safety regulations.
- Develop a robust understanding of relevant legislation.
- Produce monthly HSE statistics and KPIs.
- Develop programs and initiatives for continuous HSE improvement.
- Ensure incidents across all business units are effectively investigated and actions completed.
- Develop programs to achieve HSE targets within all business units.
- Ensure effective use of IT systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
