This is a home-based position, but only candidates living in the United Kingdom can be considered.

The People Safety Manager is a pivotal role in integrating safety into the organisation’s broader wellbeing strategy, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation, industry standards, and accreditations.

As the People Safety Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies, procedures, and practices to ensure employee safety across the organisation.
  • Be the subject matter expert and key partner to operational, audit and risk, estates, wellbeing, and people teams, managing safety risks, critical incidents, safety standards, and accreditations, and embedding audit recommendations.
  • Foster external networks and partnerships to stay at the forefront of safety best practices and ensure policies are aligned and updated.

Key Duties include:

  • Managing safety policies and ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Leading ISO45001 safety accreditation efforts and audits.
  • Handling critical incident response planning and investigations.
  • Partnering with leadership to embed safety frameworks and drive safety culture.
  • Leading and supporting the People Safety team.
  • Managing safety technology platforms and analyzing safety data for insights.
  • Designing safety initiatives aligned with wellbeing and growth strategies, integrating safety into broader people strategies, and developing engaging training resources.

Who we are looking for:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of IOSH.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Experience in a senior safety role within a multi-site organisation.
  • Expertise in risk mitigation and legal compliance.
  • Experience with safety technology platforms and data analysis.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Experience embedding safety cultures and integrating safety with wellbeing initiatives.

Travel requirements are minimal and as needed.
