Job Description:

Reporting to the UK Process Manager, the Process & Packaging Technologist will act as a key link between product development and the production line.

The Business:

Our client is a vibrant, fast-growing manufacturer of premium snack foods, supplying major retailers with branded and retailer own-label products.

The Role:

• Ensure smooth scale-up and process development for new products, meeting technical and quality standards.
• Challenge current factory processes, seeking continuous improvement, efficiency, and value engineering opportunities.
• Identify and help implement new technologies aligned with the Product Innovation Strategy.
• Plan and conduct factory trials as part of EPD and NPD programmes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across product and process portfolios, collaborating closely with Technical, Operations, and Engineering teams.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Enthusiastic, well-organized, reliable, with initiative.
• Passionate about food, with a good understanding of fast-paced food manufacturing processes.
• Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in FMCG food manufacturing, including raw material prep, extrusion, frying, baking, sheeting, and flavoring processes.
