Job summary

Reed Talent Solutions in Batley is seeking a Process Operator to help keep production running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will follow clear instructions, stay focused on quality, and ensure equipment and processes stay on track.

You’ll work regular weekend shifts from 7am to 7pm, alternating Saturdays and Sundays for 24 hours per week. Ongoing training and a clear path for career progression are provided within our growing operation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and numeracy skills – able to understand instructions, follow safety procedures, and complete simple calculations to support smooth operations.
• High attention to detail – skilled at monitoring processes, spotting inconsistencies, and accurately recording checks and documentation.
• Hygiene and safety focused with a practical approach to machinery – committed to maintaining a clean, safe workplace, with basic machine operation awareness (full training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust key production equipment including ovens, rotary moulders, cream mixers, and chocolate enrobers to maintain consistent quality and smooth workflow.
• Check and set recipes, programmes, and safety guards before start‑up, ensuring all equipment is safe, ready, and compliant.
• Monitor production lines by checking conveyors, refilling hoppers, maintaining chocolate flow, and reporting any issues early.
• Carry out regular quality checks, including colour and product standards, while keeping your workspace clean, safe, and well organised.

You’ll work regular weekend shifts while enjoying a consistent 7am - 7pm Saturday & Sunday 12 hour shifts each day, 24 hours per week.
