Job summary

Reed Talent Solutions is hiring a Process Operator (Nights) at our Batley site to help keep production running safely and efficiently. You will follow clear instructions, monitor ovens and chocolate equipment, check recipes and safety guards, and report issues promptly.

This full-time, on-site role offers a regular night shift (Mon-Thu, 10pm–7am), 36 hours per week, with training provided and opportunities for long-term growth in food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and numeracy skills - able to understand instructions, follow safety procedures, and perform simple calculations.
• High attention to detail - monitor processes, spot inconsistencies, and accurately record checks.
• Hygiene and safety focused with practical approach to machinery; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust key production equipment (ovens, moulders, cream mixers, enrobers) to maintain quality and workflow.
• Check and set recipes, programs, and safety guards before start-up and ensure equipment is safe and compliant.
• Monitor conveyors, refill hoppers, maintain chocolate flow, and report issues early to prevent downtime.
• Carry out regular quality checks and keep the workspace clean, safe, and well organised.

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust key production equipment including ovens, rotary moulders, cream mixers, and chocolate enrobers to maintain consistent quality and smooth workflow.

Check and set recipes, programs, and safety guards before start-up, ensuring all equipment is safe, ready, and compliant.

Monitor production lines by checking conveyors, refilling hoppers, maintaining chocolate flow, and reporting any issues early.

Carry out regular quality checks, including colour and product standards, while keeping your workspace clean, safe, and well organised.
