Job Title: Process Operator
Location: Telford
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off days and nights - 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00
Job Purpose:
The Process Operator will be responsible for monitoring the extrusion process and product quality assigned by their Team Manager, while contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing function.
Key Accountabilities:
- Adhere to all organisational policies, management systems, and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities related to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
- Develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
- Represent the organisation positively to protect corporate image and avoid disrepute.
- Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
- Monitor and record process parameters at required times.
- Perform relevant checks on assigned products as per the quality plan.
- Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming products.
- Communicate information through relevant channels.
- Record all operational information according to company procedures.
- Alert relevant personnel to process and product concerns.
- Complete training and development as determined by the Team Manager and training plan.
- Safeguard company property.
- Shutdown extrusion machine, including emergency shutdowns.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, following housekeeping procedures.
- Perform low-level maintenance tasks when required.
- Conduct fault rectification and problem solving at a basic level.
- Transfer knowledge and skills among team members.
