Location: Reading, with free onsite parking.

Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, meaning employees typically spend three days on site in a long week and two days on site in a short week. We support flexible working where possible, including part-time and varied working hours, so please let us know if you would like us to consider an alternative working arrangement when you apply.

Let us introduce the role

AWE are currently recruiting for a HR Process Improvement and Change Specialist to work within our Service Improvement Team to deliver process and systems changes as part of our HR Digital Roadmap programme of work.

Ideally, we would like you to have experience in leading HR change and improvement projects, particularly in terms of operational readiness, change management and adoption.

  • Consolidate feedback into a single, aligned business position
  • Drive timely decisions and resolving or escalating issues where needed
  • Drive changes forward through design, build, test and implementation
  • Review and sign off key deliverables and design outputs
  • Ensure required business inputs (e.g. process detail, data, business rules) are provided
  • Support business readiness, change management and adoption of agreed changes
  • Be the focal point for external partners where required

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:

  • Implementing Process and Systems Change
  • Designing and documenting processes and ways of working such as user guides and work instructions
  • Good stakeholder management skills, able to influence and engage others
  • Delivering change through a project management approach
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic analytical capabilities and knowledge of the use of metrics
  • Experience of using Workday and ServiceNow within an HR environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel at intermediate level
