Job summary

Atomic Weapons Establishment in Reading is seeking a HR Process Improvement and Change Specialist to join the HR Service Improvement team. The role focuses on delivering process and systems changes as part of the HR Digital Roadmap, with hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight schedule.

You will lead HR change projects, coordinate SME input, drive sign-off of deliverables, support business readiness, and act as the focal point for external partners, with security clearance requirements.

  • Basic analytical capabilities and knowledge of the use of metrics.
  • Experience of using Workday and ServiceNow within an HR environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel at intermediate level.
  • Working with Word, PowerPoint, Visio and other Office 365 applications.

Job description

We are looking for a Process Improvement and Change Specialist to join the HR Service Improvement team. Location: Reading, with free onsite parking. Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, meaning employees typically spend three days on site in a long week and two days on site in a short week. Let us introduce the role AWE are currently recruiting for a HR Process Improvement and Change Specialist to work within our Service Improvement Team to deliver process and systems changes as part of our HR Digital Roadmap programme of work. Ideally, we would like you to have experience in leading HR change and improvement projects, particularly in terms of operational readiness, change management and adoption.

You will be required to:

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.

Our interviews typically take place over Teams and for most roles are a 1 stage process.
