Job summary

Arup in Birmingham is seeking a Process Engineer to work on water and wastewater projects across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to commissioning. You'll join a growing, multidisciplinary team of civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental specialists.

The role emphasizes designing safe, regulatorily compliant processes, developing mass balances and P&IDs, and advancing low-carbon solutions for municipal and industrial water sectors. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in water and/or wastewater process engineering.
• Understanding of water treatment processes and the UK water sector.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working towards chartership.
• Experience developing process design documents, including mass balances and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with HazOP studies and regulated environments.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
