Job summary

Jotun Paints (Europe) Ltd seeks a Chemical/Process Engineer to create and maintain optimized production processes ensuring Right First Time quality and stable throughput. You will update formulations, coach operators, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with regional and global R&D directives.

You will analyse batch data, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with standards. A hands-on approach on the factory floor and strong cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Manufacturing experience in paints, coatings, chemicals, adhesives, inks, or similar process industries.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and ISO 9001 knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create formulations and optimize processing parameters for product quality and throughput.
• Update formulations and coach operators in process optimization on a daily basis.
• Optimize recipes to stay competitive within regional and global R&D frameworks.
• Provide technical support and cooperate with maintenance.
• Monitor and address process and quality deviations; investigate complaints.
• Describe local production processes for operator training; provide relevant training.
• Evaluate need for improvements and implement changes.
• Provide compliance documents (IOS MAT, REACH, ROHS, food contact, etc.).
