Job summary

JLR is seeking a Production Engineer Paint Skilled Associate in the UK to support the paint operations on our production lines. You will assist with applying techniques and improving repair processes to ensure high quality and efficiency of car bodies.

You will collaborate with skilled technicians and leaders, inspect painted components, analyze data, and contribute to process improvements while implementing new techniques across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive paint applications or manufacturing.
• Strong communication across teams.
• Good understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, especially paint operations.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Implement repair right first time (RFT) improvements.
• Inspect painted bodies, assess film thickness, and take corrective actions.
• Deliver data-driven process optimisation projects to reduce waste.
• Investigate production issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Support with process creation and training of new techniques.
