The role: Our client is seeking a proactive Process Engineer to join their Operations team in Cheltenham. In this permanent role, you'll drive optimisation across manufacturing processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You'll play a key part in introducing new products and processes while reducing waste and supporting high-performance manufacturing.

Key responsibilities:

1. Support daily process engineering across the whole team
2. Apply standardised tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, VSM, SPC, and SOPs
3. Analyse process data to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities
4. Drive process control, flow efficiency, and waste reduction
5. Lead or support new product/process introductions
6. Collaborate cross-functionally on lean initiatives and troubleshooting
7. Support audits, KPI reporting, and annual improvement planning

About you:

• Significant process engineering experience in a complex manufacturing setting
• Skilled in lean tools such as Yamazumi, Time-Study (MOST), VSM, SPC
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Experience with APQP tools (PPAP, PFMEA, etc.), Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, SMED, etc.), and project management tools
