Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Process Engineer at our Talke site to lead greenfield and brownfield mineral processing projects from concept through ramp-up. You will deliver technical expertise in process design, quality control, and continuous improvement across global operations.

The role requires a minimum of five years in an industrial setting, a degree in Engineering or related fields, and proficiency with CAD, Excel, databases, and process simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemistry, Geology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial/mineral processing environment.
• Experience planning, executing, and evaluating industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive process engineering projects from concept through planning, execution, commissioning and ramp-up.
• Develop and optimize mineral and material processes via trials, simulations, flow sheets and analysis.
• Support production sites with technical expertise, identify process improvements and debottlenecking.
• Conduct technical audits, analyze production and quality data, provide improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external engineers, suppliers, and contractors with safety and quality in mind.

You will contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, safety, sustainability, and cost effectiveness across Sibelco's operations.In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Driving Process Engineering projects from initial concept through planning, execution, commissioning, and operational ramp-up.Developing and optimizing mineral and material processes through trials, process simulations, flow sheets, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.Supporting production sites with technical expertise, identifying opportunities for process improvements, debottlenecking, and operational excellence.Conducting technical and operational process audits, analysing production and quality data, and developing clear recommendations for improvement.Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external engineers, suppliers, and contractors while ensuring knowledge sharing, quality control, and compliance with Sibelco's safety standards.To be successful in this role, you have:A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemistry, Geology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably within mining, minerals processing, or a related industry.Strong expertise in process engineering and proven experience planning, executing, and evaluating industrial projects.A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Experience with tools such as CAD, Excel, databases, or process simulation software is an advantage.At Sibelco, we recognise the strength of our diverse global workforce and value difference and inclusion for all.
