Job summary

Executive Recruiting Group is seeking a Process Engineer responsible for all aspects of the assigned manufacturing process. This hands-on role works with production equipment and operators within a manufacturing facility to implement, monitor, improve and troubleshoot processes.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing, a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, PLC programming experience, and familiarity with Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred but any degree acceptable.
• 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC programming or similar equipment.
• Six Sigma certification and practical use a plus.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Proficient in analyzing problems and building/testing prototypes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support design engineers and production support.
• Ensure processes are manufacturable with high quality and proper documentation.
• Lead continuous process improvement projects focusing on cost reduction or output increase.
• Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Train shop floor employees with Operations.
• Identify and implement equipment upgrades with facilities/maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and document process, performance and equipment issues.
• Conduct RCCA investigations for manufacturing/process issues.
• Transfer new designs from development to production with Design/Mechanical Eng.
• Monitor KPIs and support manufacturability of battery design process.

Job description

We are seeking a Process Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of the assigned manufacturing process. This person will mplement, monitor, improve and troubleshoot the assigned manufacturing processes. This is a very hands-on role working with the production equipment and operators within a manufacturing facility.

Duties:

• This role supports the Design Engineers as well as production support.
• Ensures processes are manufacturable with high quality and provide appropriate documentation and tools to the Operations team.
• Implements continuous process improvement projects focusing on cost reduction or output increase.
• Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Works with Operations to train shop floor employees.
• Works with facilities and maintenance team to identify and implement equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoots, solves and documents process, performance and equipment issues.
• Conducts RCCA investigations for manufacturing/process issues.
• Works with Design and Mechanical Engineering to transfer new designs from development to production.
• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supports the proposed battery design process to ensure manufacturability.
• Education: B.S. in Engineering Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred but any degree will do
• Experience: 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC or similar equipment programming
• Six Sigma Certification and practical use a plus
