Job summary

Revvity, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement across mechanical processes and lead design reviews. You will own a primary instrument or product group through to production handover, liaising with the New Product Design team on DFM, testing and timelines.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering, ability to lead small teams, plan projects, and apply problem-solving methodologies. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in an engineering role.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an ad hoc basis.
• Produce the required level of documentation for projects.
• Demonstrable experience leading small teams and external consultants.
• Ability to plan projects and allocate tasks.
• Some business knowledge of chemical analysis or related market sectors.
• Understanding of NPI and volume manufacturing environments for technical assemblies.
• Proven problem-solving ability and knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.

Job description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop clear feedback process to ensure any manufacturing concerns are recorded.

Conduct design reviews and react to input from other members of the project team.

Your technical focus

• Drive continuous improvement of the mechanical engineering elements of our processes
• Previous involvement in most aspects of the development life cycle, from initial analysis and design to implementation, testing and documentatio
• Liaise with New Product Design team on; DFM (DfX), testing and prototyping of concept designs, new product development stage gates and manufacturing time lines
• Be assigned ownership of a primary instrument or product group, becoming the go-to expert on its build, test, and process requirements, and you'll carry that stewardship all the way through to full operational handover

Skills & experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience is sought after, time served in an engineering role
• Both domestic and international travel will be required on an ad hoc basis for this position
• Produce the required level of documentation
• Demonstrable experience in leading small teams and external consultants
• Ability to plan projects and allocate tasks
• Some business knowledge of the chemical analysis or related market sectors
• BSc, MSc or equivalent degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering is preferable
• Understanding of and experience in the environments and requirements for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing of technical assemblies
• Proven problem-solving ability and can demonstrate working knowledge of problem solving methodologies
