Overview

Title: Process Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Rate: £50-£60 per hour
Contract Length: 6-12 months +
Determination: Inside IR35

This role requires security clearance up to SC.

Responsibilities

To provide discipline specific engineering services within the UUK Engineering & Projects department to ensure the delivery of safe, cost effective design solutions. To undertake activities across the project/engineering cycle, including requirements capture, optioneering, design delivery, review/approval of design deliverables, management of installation/construction, testing/commissioning and handover and to provide discipline specific advice into a variety of forums, taking ownership and resolving issues as required.

Purpose of the Engineering & Projects department

• To maintain UUK\'s Design Authority arrangements, including:
• Design & Engineering Standards
• Engineering support to UUK organisation
• Configuration Management and Design Control
• Design Authority approval of changes & tenant oversight
• Drawing office support
• To deliver UUK Engineering projects (capital & revenue), including:
• Requirements capture
• Optioneering and design
• Specification and Procurement
• Implementation/Construction
• Commissioning & Handover
• Project Support services

Key internal and external relations

• Delivering projects and engineering on behalf of customers within UUK (Operations, Logistics, Infrastructure)
• Maintaining effective supplier relationships to enable delivery
• Interface with CTG and other sites

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status
