Job summary

Odin Recruitment Group is seeking a Process Cooling Application Engineer to join its industrial cooling division. Based in Tamworth, you will provide pre-order engineering support, translate customer needs into viable cooling solutions and work with Sales, Purchasing and Project Management.

The role focuses on applying engineering concepts to specify equipment, perform calculations and develop technical specifications, with some site visits and occasional drawing work.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial process cooling, refrigeration, or chilled-water systems.
• Understanding of industrial cooling applications and engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and assess equipment suitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support on industrial process cooling applications.
• Review sales handovers to ensure customer requirements and specs are defined.
• Identify missing information and risks before projects progress.
• Gather application requirements and assess cooling needs and utilities.
• Carry out engineering calculations and use selection software to assess capacity.
• Recommend equipment configurations and components.
• Liaise with manufacturers to validate selections.
