Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking an Applications Engineer to size and specify cooling systems for industrial customers in Staffordshire. You’ll review briefs, work with sales and suppliers, and prepare detailed specifications for the projects team.

The role involves early engagement, accurate calculations and occasional site visits to ensure the solution fits on site. Offer includes a salary of £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience, a 37.5-hour week with an early Friday finish, and benefits such

Qualifications

• Experience in process cooling, refrigeration or chilled-water systems.
• Ability to use technical data to select suitable equipment and explain choices.

Responsibilities

• Review customer briefs and confirm cooling loads, operating temperatures, flow rates and site constraints.
• Size equipment and compare system options using engineering calculations and performance data.
• Check equipment compatibility and lead times with suppliers.
• Explain technical options to customers and sales colleagues, flagging gaps or risks.
• Prepare equipment schedules, specifications and calculation records; may visit sites to confirm requirements.
