Job summary

Pure Talent Group is recruiting an Applications Engineer to size and specify cooling systems for industrial customers in Staffordshire. You’ll work with customers, sales colleagues and suppliers to understand process needs and prepare a full specification for the projects team.

You'll review briefs, perform sizing calculations, and explain options, with occasional site visits. A full UK driving licence is advantageous and a 37.5 hour week with an early Friday finish.

Qualifications

• Technical experience in process cooling, refrigeration, chilled-water systems or related field.
• Ability to assess cooling requirements using manufacturer tools.
• Good at explaining recommendations and managing multiple enquiries.
• Willingness to visit customer and supplier sites; UK driving licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review briefs and clarify cooling loads, operating temperatures, flow rates and site constraints.
• Size equipment and compare options using calculations and data.
• Check compatibility and lead times with suppliers.
• Explain options to customers and sales, flagging gaps or risks.
• Prepare equipment schedules, specifications and calculation records; occasional site visits.
