Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Production Process Control Engineer to contribute to its mission of accelerating the transition to net-zero. The role focuses on coating lines within manufacturing, setting up and monitoring equipment, and driving process improvements to meet customer specifications.

The successful candidate will work with Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering, and Automation teams to troubleshoot issues and implement new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years production and/or catalyst manufacturing experience.
• 1+ years batch process experience preferred.
• Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to optimize process parameters to improve cycle times and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering and Automation teams to resolve process/equipment issues.
• Set up, monitor and troubleshoot equipment on the production lines.
• Collect data and prepare reports including shift summaries and incident records.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S.
