Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking hands-on Process Assistants to support the Surface Process Group in a permanent, full-time role. You will prepare components for surface-finishing, move WIP between stages, and assist with oven loading for stress-relief cycles while maintaining high safety and 5S standards.

The role offers opportunities to support other areas as needed within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace background is a bonus.

Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in aircraft landing gear and braking systems, supporting commercial, business and military aviation. We're growing our Surface Process Group in Gloucester and looking for hands-on, reliable Process Assistants to help keep production running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing components for surface-finishing processes (degreasing, masking, grit blasting).

• Moving and organising WIP into the correct processing areas.

• Loading and unloading ovens for stress-relief and de-embrittlement cycles, including recording work.

• Supporting operators by ensuring parts are ready for each stage of the process line.

• Helping other areas such as NDT or wider manufacturing when required.

• Maintaining high standards of safety, 5S and housekeeping across the workspace.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace experience is a bonus).

• Someone self-managed, reliable, and comfortable with hands-on work.

• Good communication, teamwork and attention to detail.

• A proactive approach and willingness to support different areas when needed.
