Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a skilled Operations & Process Improvement professional to join our Merchants Operations team in London. You will design and implement end-to-end processes across global teams, focusing on onboarding experiences, post-onboarding lifecycle issues, and scalable AI-powered automations.

You’ll partner with stakeholders to identify challenges, present findings clearly, and drive transformation through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations within the payments industry (merchant or business support)
• 2+ years of process excellence across global teams
• Experience designing end-to-end processes and scale
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents or automations

About You:

• Have a minimum of 3+ years of previous experience in operations, specifically in a merchant or business support function within the payments industry. Experience or expertise in merchant onboarding and post-onboarding account life-cycle issues, preferably with exposure to both acquiring and issuing products

• 2+ years of process excellence experience, managing operational processes and projects across multiple global teams and geographical locations.

• Experience in developing and designing/mapping processes end-to-end; passionate about future state design and scale.

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents, automations, or workflows that transform operational processes.

• Problem Solving, Lean & Systems thinking with the ability to identify repeating workflow patterns and scale solutions across teams.

• Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment where you have successfully managed, coordinated, executed and maintained multiple projects or processes in a deadline-driven environment.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

What you will be doing:

• Supporting Merchant Operations by collaborating with key stakeholders to define and implement the required processes that will support the Merchant Care and Merchant Configuration teams.

• Taking existing processes, unwinding, rebuilding and reimagining them so that they result in a frictionless world-class merchant experience.

• Identifying business challenges via data analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.

• Providing clear and concise presentation of findings and design plans to stakeholders globally.

• Driving AI-driven process transformation and building custom workflow automations to streamline operations.

• Coaching and partnering with frontline operations analysts to accelerate their AI tool adoption and foster self-sufficiency.
