Job summary

Southern Water is expanding its Process & Intelligent Automation team and is seeking Process Analysts to join us. Location: Durrington (with travel to Falmer). Hybrid: minimum 2 days onsite a week.

You’ll map end-to-end processes, deliver BPMN 2.0 analyses, support discovery and stakeholder engagement, and help drive efficiency with low-code, automation and AI-powered solutions. As you grow, you’ll own complex initiatives and influence best practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and delivering multiple process mapping and optimization projects, with BPMN 2.0.
• Experience applying the CMMI framework to assess process maturity, identify gaps and support structured processes.
• Ability to support or lead process discovery, workshops, and stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Experience interpreting process data, KPIs, and operational performance
• Ability to produce clear, structured documentation (process maps, SOPs, artefacts)
• Awareness of automation and digitisation opportunities within processes
• Experience with process mapping tools (ARIS)
• Lean Six Sigma belt holders and qualifications
• Experience coaching or supporting junior analysts
• Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, RPA, Alteryx)
• Understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements

As you grow in the role, you’ll take on more ownership of complex initiatives helping to shape best practice, influence stakeholders, and support the development of process excellence across the organisation.

• Process mapping is a core part of this role. You'll need substantial experience leading and delivering multiple process mapping and optimisation projects, with strong BPMN 2.0 expertise and the ability to map complex end-to-end business processes.
• Experience applying the CMMI framework to assess process maturity, identify gaps and support structured processes, improvements & initiatives.
• Ability to support or lead process discovery, workshops, and stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities

• Interest in process optimisation, digital transformation, and automation
