Job summary

Teaching Personnel is assisting a welcoming primary school in Canton, Cardiff with a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in a mainstream setting. Immediate start and a positive, proactive approach are valued as you help children access learning and build confidence.

Experience with children and SEN is beneficial; an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is required. On-site parking and a supportive team are provided in a friendly school community.

Qualifications

• Experience with children is desirable.
• Experience supporting SEN learners is beneficial but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Help pupils access learning and build confidence to achieve goals.
• Be proactive, adaptable and contribute to all aspects of school life.
