Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data-driven insights, and implementing effective contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to address the needs of smaller turnover customers, focusing on maximizing the placement of pattern books in the marketplace.
  • Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, and promote collections.
  • Understand customer needs to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Secure future business with customers through excellent service and support.
  • Develop and deliver customer contact strategies using all contact tools.
  • Provide world-class customer service to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Input customer feedback into CRM and collaborate with the Customer Service Team for order accuracy.
  • Follow up on calls/emails and analyze performance data to inform calls.
  • Submit regular reports and monitor sales performance with management.
  • Complete all administrative tasks related to the role.
  • Achieve personal sales targets as part of the sales team.
  • Employ effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling, to build stronger business relationships.

Measures of Success:

  • Achieving sales budgets and year-over-year growth.
  • Working within expenditure budgets.
  • Number of calls and emails made daily.
  • Sales success in line with budgeted plans.

Connecting with Others:

  • Collaborate with sales colleagues, customers, customer service, finance, and senior management to ensure performance and relationship management.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in call centers or mail order catalogues.
  • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
  • Experience with product knowledge and building long-term relationships.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, positive attitude.
  • CRM experience and familiarity with WG360.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
