Job summary

Ferrero is seeking an Advanced Operator for its UK site. You will oversee production line operations and operate equipment to standard settings, gaining in-depth knowledge of machinery and processes. Training and support will help you become a workplace expert in this area.

You will mentor teammates, troubleshoot issues, perform autonomous maintenance, and lead problem solving with a proactive mindset to sustain high-quality, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or packing environment with machinery responsibility.
• Knowledge of lean tools such as root cause analysis, 5S and SMED.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Respect standards in health & safety, environment, hygiene, food safety and product quality.
• Operate equipment to standard settings and monitor production targets.
• Address production issues quickly and escalate high-risk problems.
• Perform autonomous and preventative maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Carry out first level breakdowns and liaise with maintenance for complex issues.
• Train and coach colleagues to upskill and improve line capability.
• Engage in proactive problem-solving to improve production operations.
