Job summary

TES is seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Warrington, supporting pupils across KS1 or KS2 and working closely with the class teacher to help them engage with learning.

This part-time role focuses on providing 1:1 and small-group support, promoting inclusive learning, safeguarding pupil wellbeing, and contributing to a positive classroom environment with a strong staff team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting.
• Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
• Support behaviour management using positive strategies.
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams.
