Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Warrington primary school, supporting pupils across KS1 or KS2 and assisting the class teacher on a part-time basis. You will help create an inclusive learning environment and work closely with staff to promote pupil wellbeing.

Competitive daily rate of £90-£105, PAYE paid weekly, with ongoing CPD opportunities and dedicated consultant support throughout your placement; enhanced DBS required or

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
• Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, proactive and supportive approach
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation
• Support behaviour management using positive strategies
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
