Job summary

Waythrough is looking for an Assertive Alcohol Outreach Worker to support individuals with long-standing alcohol use in Northumberland, including Blyth. You will take an assertive, proactive approach to build trusting relationships and encourage recovery.

The role involves managing a small caseload, conducting assessments and care planning, delivering tailored support in the community, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team while keeping accurate records for safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience within adult social care or a related setting.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships.
• Resilience and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload with assessments, care planning and reviews.
• Deliver tailored support within the community.
• Work independently in outreach settings and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.
