Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a proactive Harm Reduction Outreach Worker for County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. Based in Bishop Auckland, you will deliver harm reduction interventions across the county, promoting NSP, Naloxone provision and BBV testing to improve health outcomes.

The role involves independent outreach planning and close teamwork with partners. We offer a permanent 37-hour week, with occasional Saturday mornings, comprehensive benefits, and salary between £25,878–£34,240

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience delivering one-to-one and group interventions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and harm reduction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based harm reduction interventions across community settings.
• Build strong relationships with partner agencies to promote harm reduction initiatives.
• Promote NSP, Naloxone provision and BBV testing to improve health outcomes.
• Plan and manage outreach workload independently while collaborating with the wider service.
