Job summary

Waythrough is recruiting an Assertive Alcohol Outreach Worker to support individuals with long-standing alcohol use across Northumberland, covering Blyth. The role is outreach-based, often independent, with a mobile caseload and collaborative teamwork for coordinated support.

You will complete assessments, care planning, and reviews while maintaining records and safeguarding duties in a community setting. DBS checks and driving are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult social care or related setting.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships.
• Resilience and ability to work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload and conduct assessments and care planning.
• Carry out regular reviews and provide tailored community support.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team and external partners to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.
