Job summary

Selfridges is seeking a Private Shopping Department Manager at 40 Duke Street, London. You will lead a team of Private Shopping Assistants, drive exceptional client service for high-value shoppers, and collaborate with operations and Client Managers to deliver seamless experiences.

You will oversee scheduling, reporting and compliance, acting as Duty Manager when needed, and champion continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing teams in luxury retail is preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Private Shopping Assistants, setting objectives and coaching.
• Oversee scheduling, rota planning and resource allocation for the department.
• Manage transactional processes including cash handling and payment administration.
• Produce and analyse daily and weekly trade reporting for the Senior Manager and leadership team.
• Collaborate with Private Client Managers, Shoppers, Concierge and Operations to ensure seamless client experiences.
• Act as Duty Manager for 40 Duke Street when required and uphold service standards.
• Conduct compliance and operational audits to align with policies and health and safety.
