Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking a passionate Nursery Nurse for a high-quality private EYFS nursery near Queen’s Park, London. You will care for children aged 1–4, supporting learning, play and daily routines in a warm home-from-home environment.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, observations, reporting, and supporting children with SEND, with a competitive negotiable salary based on experience. Full-time, 50 weeks open, NW6 location.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Practitioner with EYFS focus.
• Proven ability to support children 0–5 including SEND.
• Effective communication with parents and families.
• Understanding of child development, learning and behaviour.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team and follow safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care.
• Support children’s learning, development, play and exploration.
• Plan and follow the daily routine within the base room.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Carry out clear observations, assessments and reports.
• Support children with SEND and behavioural needs.
• Extend children’s thinking and learning through purposeful interactions.
• Model positive behaviour and help children overcome challenges.
• Work confidently with individuals and small groups.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, equality and data protection procedures.
• Promote an inclusive environment where every child’s rights and wellbeing are respected.
