Zero2Five in London is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse for a private EYFS setting near Queen’s Park, caring for children aged 1–4 in a warm home-from-home environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification.
• Experience as Nursery Practitioner.
• Experience with children aged 0–5 and small-group work.
• Understanding of child development and behaviour.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Excellent communication with parents and families.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Passion for helping young children learn and thrive.

The role

• Provide high-quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care.


• Support children’s learning, development, play and exploration.


• Plan and follow the daily routine within the base room.


• Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues.


• Carry out clear observations, assessments and reports.


• Support children with SEND and behavioural needs.


• Extend children’s thinking, ideas and learning through purposeful interactions.


• Model positive behaviour and help children overcome challenges and misconceptions.


• Work confidently with individuals and small groups.


• Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, equality, confidentiality and data protection procedures.

What we’re looking for

• Relevant Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification.


• Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner.


• Experience supporting children aged 0–5, including one-to-one and small-group work.


• Understanding of child development, learning and behaviour.


• Experience supporting children with SEND.


• Experience communicating with parents and families.


• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent relevant experience.


• A genuine passion for helping young children learn, grow and thrive.


• A positive, reliable and collaborative approach to teamwork.
