Job summary

SG Partnership is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee the group’s financial reporting, statutory accounts, tax and controls as it scales in the healthcare sector. The role combines hands-on accounting with strategic business partnering to support commercial decision making.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting, year-end experience and a pragmatic, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including year-end reporting.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing tax obligations.
• Experience with corporation tax and VAT and group tax considerations.
• Experience in SME environments or private equity backed businesses is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts across the group with timely reporting.
• Consolidate financial results across multiple trading entities.
• Provide clear analysis and commentary to support senior leadership decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning for the group.
• Oversee statutory accounts, tax compliance and year-end processes.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and support external audits.
