Job Description:

This role involves working as a Manager in the private client tax team, providing tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse client portfolio. The position requires collaboration with colleagues in Manchester, Leeds, or Harrogate, with in-office presence three times a week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing tax returns, managing HMRC enquiries, overseeing compliance clients, monitoring deadlines, and managing tax-related projects.
  • Training and mentoring trainees and seniors, participating in internal training, and supporting departmental administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive private client tax experience, preferably within professional services or industry.
  • Ability to handle complex client work and manage people.
  • Interest in developing business development skills.
  • Strong IT skills and relevant professional qualifications (CTA and/or ACA).

Key competencies include:

  • Workload planning, delegation, and deadline management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to supervise staff and support partners, with a focus on technical knowledge and problem-solving.
