Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Private Client Solicitor to take ownership of a caseload within an established Wills, Trusts and Probate team in Peterborough.

You will advise on wills, trusts and probate matters, manage files efficiently and build strong client relationships while contributing to business development and cross-referral opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with current practising certificate.
• Sound knowledge and experience of wills, trusts and probate law.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain legal matters clearly in plain English.
• Sympathetic, client-focused approach to sensitive personal circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on wills, trusts and probate matters.
• Managing files and progressing matters to conclusion.

An opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to take ownership of their caseload, build strong client relationships and contribute to the business development of an established Wills, Trusts and Probate team.

The Role You'll provide clear, practical legal advice across a range of private client matters, managing files efficiently and ensuring clients receive a professional and responsive service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising clients on Wills, trusts and probate matters.
• Managing files and progressing matters through to conclusion.
• Communicating clearly and promptly with clients, colleagues and other solicitors.
• Taking responsibility for billing, invoicing and working towards agreed targets.
• Building relationships with existing clients and helping to attract new business.
• Supporting the firm's marketing and business development activities.
• Identifying opportunities to cross-refer clients to other legal services within the firm.
• Working independently and collaboratively, including providing instructions to support staff where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with changes in law, practice and procedure, and maintaining continuing professional development.

About You

• A qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate.
• Sound knowledge and experience of Wills, Trusts and Probate law.
