Job summary

ENL Legal Recruitment invites applications for a Private Client Lawyer in Peterborough. The role targets lawyers with NQ–3 years’ PQE to manage a varied private client caseload in a supportive team, including wills, trusts, probate and related planning.

THE ROLE:

As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, working closely with an experienced and supportive team. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of work, including:

• Will drafting and advice - preparing Wills and providing clear, tailored advice to clients regarding their wishes and future planning.
• Powers of Attorney - advising clients on the different types of Powers of Attorney and assisting with the preparation and registration of the relevant documentation.
• Probate and estate administration - supporting executors and beneficiaries through the probate process, including the administration and distribution of estates.
• Inheritance Tax planning - assisting individuals and families with effective estate planning strategies and advising on potential Inheritance Tax considerations.
• Trusts and private client matters - gaining experience across a range of trust-related issues and other areas of private client work.
• Estate planning - advising individuals and families on their wider estate planning needs, helping them put appropriate arrangements in place for the future.
• Client relationships - developing strong, trusted relationships with clients by providing professional, practical and approachable legal advice.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with NQ-3 years’ PQE, ideally with some experience in Wills, Trusts and Probate or a genuine interest in building a long-term career within Private Client.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• A qualification as a Solicitor with between NQ and 3 years’ PQE.
• Previous experience within Private Client, Wills, Trusts and Probate, although candidates with a strong interest in developing within this area will also be considered.
• A client-focused approach, with the ability to understand individual circumstances and provide practical, tailored advice.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to explain legal matters clearly to clients.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
• A commercially aware and professional approach to your work.
• A willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
• Ambition to build a successful and long-term career within Private Client.
