Job summary

April Recruitment is working with a reputable client based in Bedford (MK40) to recruit a Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive. The role is permanent with a salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE) and a hybrid working pattern, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.

The successful candidate will have at least two years' PQE in private client matters, with strong probate and estate administration experience, and the ability to manage a varied portfolio while building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years PQE.
• Proven experience in private client matters, probate, and estate administration.
• Ability to manage a varied portfolio and build client relationships.
• Willingness to pursue STEP accreditation if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a varied private client portfolio with probate focus.
• Provide tailored guidance on wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts and inheritance tax.
• Collaborate with the team to strengthen the department and identify opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of client care while complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Offer guidance and support to junior team members to aid development.
