Job summary

Errington Legal Recruitment Limited is supporting a well-regarded regional law firm to recruit a Private Client Solicitor/Associate/Legal Executive for their Suffolk or Cambridge team with hybrid working. The role covers complex estate administration, advising on succession, tax and mental capacity, and includes Court of Protection work; there is scope to build breadth across private client disciplines.

You should be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1–7 years PQE, eager to develop

Qualifications

• A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1–7 years PQE in private client work, particularly estate administration, and working with vulnerable clients
• Ambitious and keen to grow within the role
• Be willing to learn and develop technical skills as well as obtain additional qualifications such as STEP and Lifetime Lawyers (SFE), as required

Responsibilities

• Complex estate administration involving taxable estates, often with agricultural and business elements, preparation of deeds of variation and declarations of trust
• Advise clients on issues surrounding succession, tax and mental capacity
• Working within the team who have specialism in advising both high net worth individuals as well as elderly and vulnerable clients and their families
• You will also work on Court of Protection matters
• The opportunity to work across all areas of private client work to build your skills across the discipline

Role

• Complex estate administration involving taxable estates, often with agricultural and business elements, preparation of deeds of variation and declarations of trust
